RCカルチャーとデザインの交差点 ― 渋谷パルコ BLOCKHEAD MOTORS TOKYO

先日、東京・渋谷へ足を運んだ際に、以前から気になっていた「BLOCKHEAD MOTORS TOKYO（ブロックヘッドモーターストーキョー）」さんを訪問してきました。2025年4月11日に渋谷PARCO 5階に常設オープンし、タミヤのラジコンを中心に、独自のカスタムやアパレルを展開している「RCカー好きに知らない人はいない！」大注目のブランドです！実際に訪れてみると、まさに“大人の秘密基地”といった雰囲気でした。

お店は、渋谷PARCOのホビーなど様々なアイテムが溢れるフロアにあり、入口からすでにカラフルなRCカーやポップなグラフィックが目を引きます。ディスプレイには懐かしさと新しさが同居したタミヤRCカーがずらり。往年の名車がカスタムカラーで蘇り、子どもの頃に夢中になった世代にはたまらない光景です。店内にはTシャツやキャップ、トートバッグなどのアパレルも充実。RCを知らない人でも楽しめる雰囲気で、渋谷らしいストリートカルチャーとの融合を感じます。RCカーをその場で購入できるだけでなく、ここでしか手に入らないグッズもあり、コレクター心をくすぐられました。

展示されていたRCカーに興味を示すと、スタッフの方が笑顔で気さくに声をかけてくださり、思わず心が温かくなりました。知識がなくても安心して質問できる雰囲気で、初心者からベテランまで受け入れてくれる懐の深さを感じます。
こうした接客があるからこそ、ただの商品紹介ではなく「RCを通じた体験」を持ち帰ることができるのだと思いました。

During a recent trip to Tokyo’s Shibuya, I finally had the chance to visit BLOCKHEAD MOTORS TOKYO, a store I had been curious about for some time. Officially opened on April 11, 2025, on the 5th floor of Shibuya PARCO, this much-talked-about brand is a must-know for RC car enthusiasts. Centered on Tamiya’s iconic RC cars, the shop showcases unique custom builds along with original apparel. Stepping inside truly felt like entering an “adult’s secret base.”

The store is located on one of PARCO’s vibrant hobby floors, overflowing with various items. Even from the entrance, colorful RC cars and pop-style graphics immediately grab your attention. The displays feature Tamiya classics reimagined with custom colors, creating a mix of nostalgia and freshness. For those who grew up obsessed with these cars, it’s an irresistible sight. The shop also offers a wide range of apparel such as T-shirts, caps, and tote bags. Even visitors unfamiliar with RC cars can enjoy the atmosphere, which fuses seamlessly with Shibuya’s street culture. Beyond purchasing RC cars on the spot, you can also find exclusive items available only here, which makes it especially appealing for collectors.

When I showed interest in one of the displayed RC cars, a staff member approached me with a friendly smile and warm conversation. Their approachable attitude made me feel comfortable, even without deep knowledge of RC cars. I felt a genuine openness toward everyone—from beginners to seasoned fans. This kind of customer service transforms the experience from a simple shopping trip into a memorable “RC encounter.” I was truly grateful for their kindness and thoughtful response, even though my visit was unplanned.

Being able to experience RC culture right in the heart of Shibuya was refreshing, and it instantly brought back the childhood excitement I had once felt.
